in short:
Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant is being used in Oroville California to purchase CVSA.

So,let me see if I have this correct. Government funded grants (our Tax Dollars) are being used to purchase equipment to be used by government agencies, even though, numerous government funded studies(our Tax Dollars again)as well as private studies have proved on more than one occasion that CVSA doesn't work.

Does this pi$$ off anyone else?

Ebvan,

Now would be an excellent time to send the Oroville Police Chief and the local newspaper a copy of the Dateline CVSA story. I would do it but I am not computer savy enough to figure out how.

By the way, Oroville is such a small town, I doubt that many of the residents even own a TV or stay up late enough to catch Dateline!(LOL)

Yes it does P#$$ me off. I've posted previous threads related to CVSA being purchased by fellow law enforcement agencies and have taken steps to enlighten either the agency and or the press as to what a waste of taxpayers money it is.

In doing so, I've seen CVSA purchases and classes canceled at agencies because of this.

I would encourage again (it works) that there be a proactive enlightenment by anyone knowing what CVSA is really all about.
